There has been a lot of speculation and rumors regarding the specs of the Samsung Galaxy S4, but we may have confirmation of most of the specs of the anticipated device, thanks to benchmark info found in the AnTuTu Benchmark app.
According to the benchmark tool, the Galaxy S4 has an octa-core Exynos 5410 chipset clocked at 1.8GHz, along with a PowerVR SGX 544 GPU. Also, the benchmark reports the device having LTE connectivity, which should put to rest the rumour that Samsung might use a Qualcomm Snapdragon processor in LTE-enabled markets. The comparison chart with other devices shows the Galaxy S4 coming out at top, which is in line with how it beat all other devices in browser performance.
The 4.99-inches size and 1920 x 1080 pixels resolution of the display are also confirmed by the benchmark, though there’s no telling whether it is a Super AMOLED or SoLux LCD display. Android 4.2 Jelly Bean will be the Android version running on the device out of the box, while the 13-megapixel rear camera, 2.1-megapixel front-facing camera, and 2GB of RAM are also confirmed thanks to the benchmark.
There’s one suspicious thing in the info though – the GPU manufacturer is listed as ARM, which is wrong since Imagination Technologies are the one making PowerVR GPUs. This could either be because of the device being in development stages, making it report the wrong manufacturer to the app, or it could be a clue that the benchmark report is fake.
